The main ingredient found in Juvederm Ultra XC is hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is a chemical that is naturally produced by your body and found in youthful skin. It is a type of sugar that holds water, which hydrates the skin and creates the plump, soft look of youthful skin and lips.
What's the difference between Juvederm® Ultra XC and Juvederm® Ultra-Plus XC?
Juvederm® Ultra XC is used to treat slight to moderate wrinkles, correct the look of scars, and act as a lip filler to re-shape and/or add volume to the lips. It has a thinner consistency, is primarily injected into higher areas of the dermis, has a 6% cross-link formula, and lasts about 9 months to 1 year.
Juvederm® Ultra-Plus XC is used to treat moderate to severe wrinkles, nasolabial folds, facial shaping, and areas with greater volume loss. It has a thicker consistency, is injected deeper into the dermis, has an 8% cross-link formula, and lasts around 1 year.
